OLED (Soft and Hard): There are two types of OLEDs, Soft Oled (used in Apple and Samsung devices) and aftermarket Hard OLEDs when repairing a phone. First off, it's easier to articulate the differences between hard and soft OLED: Soft OLEDs are more expensive, better matched to iPhone Xs and 11 series, and the screen size is more suited to OEM performance. Rigid OLEDs are cheaper, perform almost as well as an OEM display, but are more fragile. Soft OLED: Soft OLEDs are made of a flexible plastic substrate, so they last longer than Hard OLEDs. They are much more resistant to impacts. Soft OLEDs also fit better in the frame of an iPhone X than Hard OLEDs. Hard OLED: For half the price of Soft OLED, Hard OLED displays are manufactured using a rigid glass substrate instead of the flexible substrate found on the iPhone X's original screen. These come at the expense of screen size and durability. The hard glass substrate does not flex to adapt to the original curve of the screen, so the screen has an enlarged bezel, which reduces the size of the 5.8-inch screen partially, but noticeably. LCD: LCD is a proven technology and has been used since the inception of the iPhone. To this date, Apple continues to use it on the iPhone XR and iPhone 11 in its budget range (if there was such a thing). more battery consumption. The advantage is cost, because it is much more powerful than Hard OLED, as they offer it at a fraction of the cost of the more expensive Soft OLEDs. What should I choose? The short answer is that it depends on your priorities. Want to spend as little as possible on a phone or is money not an issue? How often do you use your phone during the day? Are you at the office or away for days? Whatever screen type you choose, all of our products have passed quality control and are guaranteed for life.
