Before you start replacing the screen, turn off your iPhone.
Remove the two 6.9mm long pentalobe screws from the bottom edge of the iPhone.
If the screws are stripped or damaged, you should replace the screws.
Opening the iPhone's screen will compromise its waterproof seals. Prepare replacement gaskets before proceeding with this step, or if you reassemble your iPhone without replacing the gaskets, be careful not to expose it to liquid.
